Tower of Kings (TOK) Guide

Tower of Kings - Easy, Normal, Hard, and Nightmare determination

Up to date as of: 08-31-13, as BR changes, opponents will change

Easy is composed of the top 13-16 players with the highest BR cross server


Normal is composed of the top 9-12 players with the highest BR cross server



Hard is composed of the top 5-8 players with the highest BR cross server

Nightmare is composed of the top 4 players with the highest BR cross server

So before you attempt your difficulty in TOK, check the cross server for the strongest players list and see who your opponents will be. This can be especially important for the more difficult settings: hard and nightmare. Depending on the match up, it may be easier or harder. The hardest one is probably one that is composed of the 2 mages and 2 knights.

Strategy:
-Take out the healers ASAP and slowly heal yourself and kill the rest. If the opponents have 1 mage healer, he is in the back so use back hitting skills (freeze, armor piercer, and ultimate slasher once his HP is the lowest of the group)
-Scatter the suntoria, apollo's shield, and reverse damage if necessary
-Re-try the stage multiple times until the opponents mess up and start out with scatter/pure
-If you're a mage, use your brutality rune at the start which lasts for 2 turns to cast Fire and Metoer
-If you're a knight, reverse damage, shield, and whirlwind are good skills to use

Suggestion: Spire Stage Select

Spire is taking up way too much time especially if you are trying to get past level 12 and saving up vulcans. It takes my group a good 20-25 minutes of constant boss action to get to or pass level 12 in Spire.

Wartune should have a Spire Stage Start Selection to decrease Spire time. It would allow players to choose their Spire starting level based on the lowest level that all players have completed.

Yes, that may prevent players from obtaining extra buffs (vulcans) if they skip to level 6 and don't vulcan for the bosses but it should function similar to Catacombs where you can get to where you last left off. Spire is a grind now. With Spire Stage Selection, every day will be an attempt to go further without grinding through 11 levels of the same bosses.

Spire Tips Updated !

Spire Tips

Boss 3, 4, and 5 place a stackable 40% increased damage received curse on you near 1 bar that stays active until you die. with coordinated huge attacks or vulcan (200% atk buff) you can wipe out the boss with a strong attack if you are strong enough and time correctly to prevent the boss from cursing you

Know the attack cycle and stop the special attacks immediately to prevent the boss from being difficult to control especially in stage 9 and above.

NOTICE: the boss attack sequence starts out different but starts the cycle after their special/signature moves (ie bleed, curses) or around his 3rd attack

1 - minotaur - Karl

2 - lizard - Krowl

3 - worm - Muloch-----------near 1 HP bar left, 1 hit kill the boss to prevent the 40% curse, about 100,000 per bar
-starts with 4 troops that have very high damage, their first hit is focused in the front. front person can 90% def if needed

4 - flying lizard - Ganol-----near 1 HP bar left, 1 hit kill the boss to prevent the 40% curse, about 150,000 per bar

5 - pincer - Lorne-------------near 1 HP bar left, 1 hit kill the boss to prevent the 40% curse, about 200,000 per bar

6 - little twerp - Randol
-2nd attack hits the front character for a lot, if u can't take it, use 90% def
-also has a 2 character hit that takes away 75% of HP
-for his big hits can also use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) or apollo (-30% damage received)

7 - skeleton mage - Pharak
-front focus attacks with mass attack rain
- casts 25% slow at 1 bar -> not very critical really

8 - flying mage - Alikar - atk summary: atk, atk, aoe
- 1 - front atk
- 2 - very high mass attack
- 3 - front atk
- 4 - front atk
- 5 - very high mass attack
- 6 - repeat at step 3
- x - at some point the mage does back to back mass attack
-good time to use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) or apollo (-30% damage received) before the very high mass attacks

9 - archer - Andola - atk summary - atk atk reverse
- 1 - very high mass attack - i believe she also makes you cast 150% faster or something
- 2 - reverse damage 50% -> MUST BE SCATTERED
there is nearly perfect 30 second rotation for scatter so only 1 person is needed to scatter 
it is best to time it inbetween the bosses 1st and 2nd attack to scatter it immediately to perfect the attack and cool down cycle. all players should not be doing high-damage attacks or the reverse damage can kill you. this is the time to heal/def/rune/auto atk
- 3 - very high mass atk
- 4 - very high mass atk
- 5 - reverse damage 50% -> MUST BE SCATTERED
- x -- repeat at step 3
-good time to use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) or apollo (-30% damage received) throughout the round

10 - ball and chain bleeder - Staphos - atk summary - atk, aoe, atk, bleed
-he has 2 troops that cast reverse damage on 2nd around -> can be scattered
- 1 - front atk
- 2 - random character attack + bleed 10,000 x 3 turns -> SHOULD BE PURIFIED
- 3 - front atk
- 4 - mass attack
- 5 - front atk
- 6 - random character attack + bleed 10,000 x 3 turns -> SHOULD BE PURIFIED
- x - repeat at step 3
-good time to use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) or apollo (-30% damage received) throughout the round

11 - infamous eye ball - Beras - atk summary - atk, atk, aoe+curse
- 1 - very high front beam atk
- 2 - mass atk roll + 70% mdef curse -> MUST BE PURIFIED
- 3 - very high front beam atk
- 4 - very high front beam atk
- 5 - mass atk roll + 70% mdef curse -> MUST BE PURIFIED
- x - repeat at step 3
-good time to use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) or apollo (-30% damage received) throughout the round

12 - horse rider - Darnos - atk summary - atk, atk, atk, atk, row_atk+bleed
- 1 - front atk
- 2 - random atk
- 3 - ROW atk + bleed 12,000 x 3 (attacks the entire row and bleeds the entire row) -> PURIFY
- 4 - front atk
- 5 - random atk
- 6 - front atk
- 7 - random atk
- 8 - ROW atk + bleed 12,000 x 3 (attacks the entire row and bleeds the entire row) - PURIFY
- x - repeat at step 4
- y - casts 1000% atk after a certain amount of rounds and can easily 1 hit KO you. this is the perfect level to use up all your vulcans and focus primarily on attack skills to kill him as fast as possible
-good time to use incendiary shot (-30% boss atk) but not really apollo because that does not attack

if you haven't tried it, DON'T! until you read this

Tower of Kings Nightmare Level 1
-The 4 opponents are shadow clones of headbanger, tomato, chaoss, and fiona, the top 4 br players that play on the wartune.com servers

Strategy
-The computer plays the characters and so there will always be useless skills that they cast so there are possibilities of beating this team
-Focus on taking out their healer tomato in the back (freeze, armor piercer, ultimate slasher) then slowly take out the knight tanks.
-If you fail, and are cutting it close, try again for more random skills casts from your opponents

If this is Tower of Kings NM lvl 1, what will level 5 be?!

Things to test - if the real characters strip, will TOK NM be any easier like NM summons?

Wartune 1.66 patch - possible tips to maximize rewards

MP - "1 MP"
It may have been possible to get 5 MPs "today" if players completed 2 MPs before patch and then saved the 3rd MP until after patch 1.66 to possibly still qualify to complete your patch 1.66 "1 MP". The last MP had to be done before 0500 server time when it resets.
This did not work.

Have your team complete EASY before 0500 to qualify for normal ASAP
